Team visiting Spurgeons Academy

It's Saturday morning and the final bits of packing are being done by 9 team members in preparation for a week-long visit to Spurgeons Academy, one of CRED's partners who is based in Kibera, Nairobi in Kenya.
Whilst out there the team will carry out a number of different training workshops and teaching tasks to a range of students, staff and other people linked to Spurgeons Academy; from school development plans, to mentoring, to health education, to social work training, to tailoring, plus all the children in the school will get taught 2 RE lessons each.
It's going to be a busy week, but I'm sure a very fruitful and life-changing week for us all.
The team are:
Helen Harrison - CRED team leader
Gillian Bratley - school development and curriculum workshops
Meena Parmer - social work training
Chris Davies - teaching RE
Mary Clarke - tailoring workshops
Ally Budd - mentoring and self-esteem workshops
Carey Robson - health education workshops
Jake Budd (age 12) assisting with the teaching
Naomi Robson (age 10) assisting with the teaching

we will keep you posted on how we all get on, but for now, thanks in advance for your support and prayers, and now back to the final bits of packing!

best wishes
Helen
