tuesday- roberto
We done maths today and
making masks. We had maths first. It was funny because the kids got really
invloved in the activity we were doing and I thought I was saying the work was
looking good but I was actually saying 'I'm fine', so I felt like a complete
fool. During the lesson I got the kids to do 'wasssssup' to me and they all
joined in and we had an awesome time. We went outside to make the masks. The
kids got really into it and loved it. They were so happy for having us there.
Then we had lunch and we were all just chatting and bantering. Then we went to
our second lot of lessons. We did a bit more maths and then went to do mask
making and we played rounders and it was so much fun and loads of people started
watching and it got so interesting. Then we had assembly and they made me do
'head shoulders knees and toes' and I was definitely the champion but Paul
cheated and said Georgie won (favouritism). It's been a really hot day, really
tiring, but its more than worth it for the kids. They deserve that and a lot
more. Hope to see you soon all you mzungus! Hell yeah sista!

It has been an amazing
experience to celebrate my birthday in Rwanda today. It was my day for teaching
lessons so Craig and Emmanuel (our translator) organised for our class to sing
happy birthday to me which made me feel really emotional but I didn't want to
cry in front of the kids. It's been weird not spending my birthday with my
family at home but who can say they've spent their 16th birthday in Africa?!
